Words of Enlightenment with Walker Texas Ranger
Ok, some of you know that i've been working out pretty hard the last couple of years. As of lately i've been doing 6 days a week. I'm training up for a bench contest in July.
When you go to the gym everynight you beging to notice funny things. Whether it be the guy damn near killing himself on equipment or some people who are enormous do 1 minute of cardio and leave thinking they got a good workout in.
I usually do my big cardio day on monday night, and last night was not unlike any other. The usual 6.5 miles of pain.
However if you don't know I'm working out in the new Gold's Gym they built here in town. Which is really nice. They have 8 big screen tv's while you run. Now i usually have my little buddy (iPod) running anyways but i still watch tv when i'm not concentrating.
Usually it's either the news or sports on the tv's, however they have had the funny notion of moving one tv to the "Hallmark" channel. Which i have redubbed the Walker Texas Ranger Channel for it's back to back to back episodes of Walker Texas Ranger. I was watching the tv's on monday when an episode came on.
The Walker Texas Ranger plot is usually easy. First we me the cast, then the problem, then the excitement, then Chuck kicks some schmucks ass, then they all gather around the bar for a drink with the old dude who looks like wilford brimly.
An episode came on monday night where you see the woman (walkers girlfriend) and an old man feeding pigeons in a wheelchair. These guys come up to the old man who is feeding the pigeon and start talking to him.. and they start feeding the pigeons.. then out of no-where one guy drop kicks the pigeon.. i kid you know.. i don't know who did the special effects.. but it look like he kicked that bird for a field goal. I was dying.. i had tears in my eyes.. i didn't even have to hear the drab dialog to be brought to tears. It was just so .. unexpected and so f'ing funny... it made my night.. i start chuckling just thinking about it now.
In response the the bird banging walkers girlfriend comes by and yells at the guys whom just accosted our bird friends. Of course they threaten to hit her.. then walker shows up.. and all three bite the dust. The interesting fact is that not only was it bizzaro.. but this had NOTHING to do with the show.. it was just pigeon banging and chuck wacking these idiots....
So thank you Walker.. for about making me pass out while doing my running.

It's too bad you can't hear the show. Chuck Norris actually sings the theme song, and it's the funniest thing you'll ever listen to.
