Half of the other states with age 18 compulsory attendance saw their rankings get worse between 2000 and 2004 -- the two years being compared in the NH debate.

NH itself is currently at about 7% among rates ranging from 3% to 13%, giving NH a ranking of 20th along with twelve other states.

In 2004, the possilbe ranks were 1st, 3rd, 7th, 13th, 20th, 32nd, 37th, 41st, 45th, 48th, and 50th

There are five states that rank 3rd, along with CT.
Two of them are “age 16”, two are “age 18”, and PA is 8-17
