Nancy: HB1532 has come back to the committee as an Interim Study bill. If you remember, during discussions of SPED, this bill and others, I called for the AdHoc committee to be formed to begin to address SPED issues immediately rather than waiting. Now that is has come back to committee, I am suggesting that the "AdHoc" committee be re-aligned to form the Interim Study committee on HB1532. I have check with the Clerk who had advised me on this move. I will contact you in the next week or two on how this transition should occur and thank you and all the members and respective agency and constituent representatives for working diligently to resolve issues regarding some of our most neediest children. I am committed to seeing this through to the end of the year despite my decision not to seek re-election. These children and parents need our assistance and we must be there for them to develop appropriate legislation for next year. Thank-you for everything.
