The last Saturday starts with our
morning devotion and sharing time.
After the devotion we take a
group photo and begin getting ready for our trip back home.
During the 2001 trip, one of the
group participants decided to buy some red beans and deliver them to some of the
villagers on Ambergris Caye who were less fortunate. It turned into a group
event and by the last Saturday the Belize Mission Project had purchased all the
red beans available on the island. The final Saturday came and many of the
project participant's rode around in golf carts and walked on foot handing out
bags of rice to those in need, focusing mainly on those areas destroyed by past
hurricanes.
What a rewarding experience!
It has been tradition since.
After the red beans are passed
out, it is time for us all to say goodbye and make our journey home.
