xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx On Friday, May 12, 2000, Omro and the surrounding communities were hit with a devastating 20-minute hail storm. In the aftermath, there was over $13 million worth of damages in the small city of 3,200 people and 1,100 homes. Almost immediately, we were called upon by our neighbors, friends, and the community to assist in the temporary patching and weather protection of their home, office, or other building. We received hundreds of calls from area homeowners who needed estimates and repairs. BSC is a small company with a small crew of men. Before the hail storm, we already had three job sites that we were working on. We could not abandon the jobs that were already in progress, so we subcontracted with a roofing and siding company from Nebraska to assist us with the increased volume of work. On June 11, 2001, our area was again hit with a damaging storm with winds exceeding 70 miles an hour. Hundreds of trees we uprooted with many of them hitting surrounding buildings. Again, we were able to assist many customers with their damage. We have and will continue to work with insurance companies, adjusters, and agents to ensure that our customers are being fully compensated for the damages that they have suffered.
