Blue Hills Lippitt Morgans was founded in 1991 with the start of our senior stallion WILLO POND KNIGHT REBEL. At the time our farm was located in Delavan, Wisconsin near Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. That same year we purchase our current farm and moved in it the following year on April 1st, 1992.
Blue Hills is an one hundred and twenty
acres farm. Located at the top of the Blue Hills, which is the highest
point above sea level in the state of Wisconsin. This farm originally started
out with 2,000 acres in the year 1897. The farm house is of 3 parts. The
first part was built in 1898. The second part was built in 1904 along with
the garage. The third part was build in 1976. Leaving a house of 3,000
square feet.
Since April 1st of 1992 much new construction has taken place. Miles of new three board white fence extending 6 feet high runs all over the farm. Here in this picture we have our own little orchard of apple and plum trees. In the back ground is Knight Rebel's stallion run and beyond that is our 4 mare/foal paddocks.
In this picture is our horse barn. It is a french window, cobble stone, hip roof barn. This barn was built by hand by Mr. Munsen and his family in the year 1904. All the cobble stones came from the hay field behind the barn while clearing the original woods and rock from it. Each nail was hammered in by hand and each rock carefully placed with care. The stone in the barn is as deep in the ground as it is high above. In 1996 we put a new roof on the barn and repainted it in it's original white color. With 10 12 by 12 solid white oak stalls this makes a wonderful historical barn to put our historical morgans in.
Pictured here is our side yard with the hay field and woods. This farm is located on Highway 48 for easy access.
Here is one of our newest additions. The 2 and 3 year old paddock. This measures 100 feet wide by 150 feet long. It can be used as a turn out or an extra arena if needed.
This is a picture of our back yard. In
the foreground is our Hay field. In the background is a fenced in pasture
for turn out and woods consisting of two class A trout streams.
Finally in this picture is our outdoor arena measuring 100 feet wide by 120 feet long and our 55 diameter round pen.
Hope you enjoyed your small tour. Now you know where our morgans live.
