It's been a couple weeks since I issued a blog here so here we are. Not too much has been going on around here except the Darien Corn Festival. I spent all of last weekend out there taking pictures, lots of pictures. I have uploaded all my pictures to the Corn Fest website (because I am the webmaster and photographer) for all to see and that is www.dariencornfest.com. Now that Corn Fest is done I can get going on the Christmas light show for this year. Most of the hardware is built, but I still have a LOT of programming to do and some lights to customize. I hope it goes a bit easier to do this year than last.
Zane is still working on bringing the old website back, but I don't know how well it's been going. Time will tell and it sure will be nice to get out of this small website.
I really don't have anything else to say. I guess I went to do this update for no real reason.
Goodnight from Wisconsin.

Well, I guess my big website is history. After Zane dug into it he could only come to the conclusion that Charter has my port blocked that allows me to run a website from my home, BASTARDS! One would think with all the money I have sent them in the past years that they wouldn't have a problem with a small personal website with little traffic. Oh well. Anyway, this is my new website, albeit small.
I should be able to have several pages of info and some pictures, but not nearly as much as I had before. I will post pictures of new projects and outings but will probably have to pull them down every few months to make room for newer ones. Hopefully I can keep a pretty good website going, time will tell. I just started working on this website this evening so there isn't much on there yet, check out the menu links above to see what I have set up so far.
Zane is home from basic training and I was able to get down there to see the ceremony. I don't remember much of my ceremony except that the entire battalion marched around a huge field in front of a grandstand. This ceremony we very small and only his company marched in front of a few rows of chairs. It was cool to see it from the outside even though I never saw Zane the entire ceremony. I finally found him as they were in formation getting their orders and old luggage. He sure was happy to see me there when I finally spotted him. Here is a picture of him getting with one of his drill sergeants about heading home after 10 weeks of hell.
On another note, I have a friend that lives in New Orleans and survived hurricane Katrina. There is now another hurricane bearing down on the gulf and I hope she comes through this one ok too. I will be keeping an eye on the storm.
