Welcome to the Central Wisconsin Sail & Power Squadron!

Our squadron is a unit of the United States Power Squadrons® (USPS) and is a member of District 10 which covers Minnesota , Wisconsin and Upper Michigan .  Organized in 1914, USPS is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to making boating safer and more enjoyable by teaching classes in seamanship, navigation and related subjects.  Our members are boating families who contribute to their communities by promoting safe boating through education.  We enjoy participating with our fellow members on the water and in the classroom.  USPS has about 45,000 members organized into 450 squadrons and 33 districts across the country and in some US territories.  USPS is America 's largest non-profit boating organization.

We serve the central and northern area of Wisconsin from Eagle River in the north to Westfield in the south and Amherst in the east to Marshfield in the west.  Our members enjoy boating on inland lakes and rivers including Lake Superior, Lake Michigan and the Mississippi River .  Occasionally our members have boated in the Caribbean, the Gulf of Mexico, the Intra-Coastal Waterway and even the San Juan Islands in the Pacific Northwest .

We welcome into membership anyone who is interested in boating responsibly.  We teach safe boating courses to the public every spring and fall.  Advanced boating courses are offered to our members throughout the year.  All of these educational activities are done with the thought that “Boating Education Saves Lives.”

Our squadron performs many civil service projects throughout the year including providing free vessel safety checks, teaching safe boating to the public and participating in other boating safety projects in the schools and community.

Our members meet monthly for a time of fellowship and to enjoy programs usually relating to marine topics.  We enjoy many member benefits such as lower marine insurance, discounts on marine products and much more.  For more information on member benefits please use the link below.
