History
Central
Wisconsin Sail and Power Squadron was formed in 1989.
The charter is dated 19 May 1990 and it
had 45 members listed.
The Green Bay Power Squadron sponsored the new squadron.
In 1999 the name was changed from Central Wisconsin Power Squadron to
Central Wisconsin Sail and Power Squadron. Current membership is about 60
members.
The
charter was presented to Central Wisconsin Commander David Rupley, AP and other
members at the District 10 Fall Conference in Green Bay in October 1990.
The
squadron has provided basic boating courses to the members of the public at
least twice per year since its inception. It also provides advanced boating
courses, elective courses and seminars to its members annually.
