Monthly Meeting Minutes

  Date: August 10, 2009

Meeting called to order at 19:12 hours, by President Dale Grenstiner.

Secretary’s Report:  Read by Dennis Tackson, accepted by membership as read.

Treasurer’s Report:  Read by Ray Dewey, accepted by membership as read.

Quartermaster’s Report:  Read by Bob Desrochers, accepted by membership as read.

Old Business

Carnival Run: As of this writing all preliminary arrangements are complete, our event request has been submitted to the NEC and posted on the web-site.   We found that the Fall NEC that was originally scheduled for September 11^th through the 13^th, 2009 had been change to September 18^th through the 20^th, 2009. 

Dale motioned to cancel this year's Carnival Run, reason's are as follows:

• Lack of response from Blue Knight chapters and other area motorcycle organizations.

• Conflicting scheduling of the Fall Northeast Conference hosted by ME IX.

• Decreasing rider attendance in the preceding years.

Discussion included amount of work and time by the membership in preparation as well as expense, has out weighed the attendance expected for the annual event.

Motion second by Dennis Tackson, motion carried.

Notification to the NE Conference chairman, Mike Gratis, will be sent via e-mail.

Newsletter:  We are seeking any and all individuals that would be interested in contributing news items that would be added to the newsletter link of our web site.  It can be anything from conference news, riding information, etc.  This is your web site, let us make it an interesting read for others visiting the web-page.  

Motion to adjourn by, Norman Chenevert, second by, Dennis Tackson, at 20:00 Hrs, motion carried.
