When spotters are activated in Upstate SC, amateur radio operators and other spotters using telephones help relay "ground truth" data to the National Weather Service. Below are listed the frequencies used for the amateur radio nets when they are active. Amateur radio operators who are not spotters may still report severe weather over this network. Other members of the public may report severe weather by calling (864) 848-3859 and selecting the appropriate menu option.
