The Present
1967 Cougar XR-7 GT - 390-4V, C6 Auto
![]() |
BBCat is a very well-optioned Cat.
In addition to the XR-7 and GT option packages, this car was
ordered with a full console, power steering, styled steel wheels,
air conditioning, and a tilt/tilt-away column that still works. When I purchased BBCat from the previous owner in Colorado, I knew it had developed a rusty cowl from sitting under pine trees and collecting the needles inside the cowl area. Fixing that was the first order of business and that led to a complete restoration. |

The restoration
included repainting the car in it's original factory color of Lime
Frost, a color that was extremely popular back in the day but fell
out of favor as it aged. BBCat was just a bit too far on the wrong side of the survivor line to leave alone but, overall, it was a solid original car. Still wearing it's original paint and showing no evidence of ever having had any body repair, BBCat made for a fairly easy restoration. There was minimal body work to do once the cowl was repaired. The bulk of the work was around the rear window, where an aftermarket vinyl top had faciliated rust damage in the window channel. But that was basically it. |

2007 Chrysler Crossfire Limited Roadster
|
My Crossfire (picture at left is a stock
photo until I can get some good shots of my identical car) was
purchased new in Maine, but the original owner didn't drive it
much due to the extensive collection of hot rods and motorcycles
that he also owned. As a result, it was being sold in late
2009 with only 1600 miles on the odometer. As a Limited roadster, it is extremely well equipped along with optional extras such as the Infinity stereo/Nav combination, and 5-speed AutoStick transmission. |
1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport
|
I picked up this 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport
to use as a daily driver during the winter, when the Crossfire
isn't the most appropriate vehicle for the conditions. After driving this for almost a year, I still can't understand why Chrysler discontinued these incredibly capable vehicles. Due to it's advancing age, I've started to treat it almost like a classic by staying on top of any cosmetic issues. I've had the undercoating refreshed and extended out to vulnerable areas. I fully intend that this Jeep will be in the mix for a very long time to come. |
2005 Ford F-350 SuperDuty Lariat - 6.0 Powerstroke Diesel
| I use this truck to pull the car trailer when taking the Cougar to distant shows, but also as a showcase platform for the accessories we sell at House of Wheels. This truck has been heavily upgraded with a SnowDogg MD-75 snow plow, a chrome bugshield, in-channel Putco rainguards, AMP powersteps, Atomic LED strobing clearance lights, mud guards front and rear, a Retrax retractable hard tonneau cover over a Bedrug bed liner, Putco locker bed rails, a backup camera that's tied into the Kenwood entertainment system (CD, tuner, iPOD controller, Sirius, Garmin Nav, and video display), and a removeable bed extender. During the summer months, the stock wheels and tires come off and a set of chrome Moto Metal wheels with Nitto Grapplers go on. In addition, the truck is equipped with a Ready-Lift leveling kit and complete tow package. As with the Crossfire, I've been remiss in getting pictures, so those will follow soon (I hope). |
