My swap starts out with 3 cars, a 89 Acura Integra RS, 87 Honda Civic Sedan, 86 Honda Civic Si.  I wanted to originally use the Integra's 1.6 D16A3 motor that puts out 118 hp. compared to the original motor that makes 76 net hp.  The sedans D15A2 motor is non-functional due to a cam pulley bolt that decided to break.  Features on the sedan: Tilt wheel, maroon color cloth seats, rear defrost, remote trunk release, and tachometer.  The overall condition of this vehicle is good, there is very little rust and the body appears to be in good shape making this the perfect swap project.

What is my plan?

I plan on now using the Civic Si EW4 motor now cause I found out that the manual transmission on the Civic will not fit on the D16A3.  It was a sad find but I will use the 1.5 liter 12valve fuel injected Si motor instead.  The Si motor puts out 91 net hp, a 15 hp gain from the stock carbureted 1.5 motor.

The engine bays for both cars are the same, motor mount locations are the same, the wiring however is different, The Si motor uses Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) the system consists of three independent sub-systems; Air Intake, Electronic Control, and Fuel control, thus allowing more accurate control of air/fuel ratios under all operating conditions. The ECU detects the amount of air drawn in the cylinders and determines the amount of fuel to be injected to provide the optimum air/fuel ratio for all engine needs.  To complete this swap I will switch the complete wiring loom from the 86 Civic Si and re-install it into the sedan, there might be a few instances were some wires have to be made longer because the sedan is longer than the hatchback, I think I might have to do that on the Fuel Pump.  This swap will also include the Si's manual steering rack, front shocks, air conditioning system.  The sedan is not equipped with factory a/c, I will integrate the air conditioning system from the Si into the sedan.
