GPPOA Annual Meeting                                              8/29/09

Meeting called to order by Paul Grant President at 7:15pm.

Minutes from 7/25/09 meeting read and accepted.

Treasurer’s Report: Opening balance: $3376.51; dues collected: $125.00 from 5 members; 17 members in total; closing balance: $3,501.51. Treasurers report accepted.

Dana Shaw, Joe Jordan and Dick Hall have been doing water testing. Dick Hall (not present) looking into purchasing kits. Dana Shaw to follow up. (note: subsequent to this meeting kits were purchased and testing conducted at 4 sites around the pond by Dana Shaw and Ian Staub. Results indicated lake water is clean).

Roco Fusicola doing plant evasive testing. Not present at his meeting.

Hubine Brody’s new address is : P.O. Box 118; Lamoine (Ellsworth P.O.).

New addresses should be sent to Diane Jordan via Paul Grant.

Motion to spend up to $600 on two “no wake” buoys, chains and anchors with Hamilton Marine to slow down motor boats on the pond as they approach the shore. Dana Shaw & Ian Staub to deploy in season and take in. Buoys are for information purposes only. Amendment to the motion..only purchase one buoy at $300.00 (motion denied). Original motion defeated 3-2.
