The
VLMP is a
Maine statewide organization dedicated to the monitoring of the state's
lakes and ponds water quality through the use of trained volunteers.
Presently,
Georges
Pond does not have any trained volunteers (my attempt to get trained
this
year ran afoul of a number of things). I would like to see 2-3 people
get
trained during the next training cycle which will be in the late spring
of 2003 (there was one training site at Tunk Lake this year along with
other sites throughout the state). I hope to be one of the trainees.
Since
the
program attempts to collect data twice a month May through September
and
since many of us are not on the pond for that length of time, more than
1 volunteer will be needed. If you are interested in joining me, please
