This canopy came from Aircraft Windshield Company, Los Alamitos, CA, (562)598-0716. No web site or credit cards, just phone calls, faxes and checks. Talk to Judy, she knows all about the Vision. This is one of their Dragonfly Canopies 0.125 thick with a light gray tint. I would have gone with the dark gray tint but they told me that you would have trouble seeing the runway at night. They left an additional 4" on each side to help with the taller turtle deck. I can always cut some off.
Unpacking the canopy from the box.

Front View. It's a little unstable or I would have set it on the fuselage and taken some pictures.

From the side you can see the extra 4" along the bottom.

I removed over 2" from each side. It's better to have too much and not need it.

Front view just before I bonded it to the frame.

From the rear you can see the side pieces and the rear arch.

One more from the side. You can see where I put some duct tape inside the front
where the instrument panel meets the plexiglass. We'll have to trim the panel down.

Almost finished with the outside. The side rails were glassed 12 hours before this picture was taken and
there a little dark (not cured yet). I started filling the edged with micro and we'll probably
wait a few days before we take the canopy off and finish the inside.

I still have some work on the tail to finish, then its on to the spar.

I've trimmed the inside and added some handles to pull the canopy down.

Gas Struts balance the canopy for easy opening and closing.
