The “BIG” Picture

Particularly the kinds of
gifts that people plan on getting for themselves as a way to inspire them to
reach and/or attain to certain goals that they have for themselves to keep them
on track. A way of letting out the old, and taking in the new, if you will...
What’s your New-years resolution? How do you plan on rewarding yourself both
beforehand, as well as after your goal is accomplished? You need to inspire
yourself to stick to your guns and keep to your goal, so you need to reward
yourself for having thought of the idea of making this resolution for yourself,
in order to make the idea stick. You also need to make an even bigger reward
for yourself, after you have actually accomplished said goal...
This is the way goals have
both been MADE as well as REACHED since the beginning of intelligent life on
this planet. The New-year is a big thing, and whether or not you take any
resolutions you have for yourselves seriously, will greatly detract, or add to,
the value, of your convictions on sticking to your goal. In a way, I’m very
glad my business will be starting right before the New-year, because it’s the
perfect time, not just for me, but for all of you to start thinking of what
kind of “picture” you want to paint 2006 into. What I mean by that is, one way
or another, we are all “artists” here. We are all rather fortunate indeed just
for having been born in such a great country, where we are given choices to do
what we please with “most” of our time.
In fact, “time” is more
valuable than “money.” To me, this isn’t even a matter of opinion; it’s simply
an undisputable fact. And what we all choose to do with this precious time that
we are given will inevitably determine how much of everything we will gain out
of all of our lifetimes. Not just what we all lose in the end. We’re creating
memories that can never be taken away from us, and we are painting our “own”
individual “picture.”
Whether God knows what that
picture looks like before we have even begun to paint it isn’t the point. The
point is we don’t. Not until we at least begin with the first stroke of our
brush, and we all have to start somewhere, so why not here. And in order to be
capable of reaching any goals you have for turning that painting into a
masterpiece will depend on how you envision it to be, before it has even been
drawn. This is where you look to those who are capable of helping you, not just
God. Usually those people who are capable of helping you are those who have
already helped you in significant ways in the past.
This does not however mean
that they are the only ones who are or for that matter “will” be capable of
helping you in the future. What I mean by that is, “pride” or what you do with
it, can either “make” or “break” you in the long-run. With too much pride, your
possibilities for accepting help when it is offered to you go down,
dramatically. Why? The reason for this is often because those whom are not
“humble” feel as though the help which is being offered to them is not needed.
These types of people usually feel they already have all the answers, and if
they don’t, they feel as though they have all the answers that they themselves
actually need. They are wrong, plain and simple.
And we can all be accused of
being both too full of ourselves and less than humble on the wrong occasions,
at certain times in all of our lives, because not a one of us are even close to
being perfect. This is usually where “arguments” begin and “conversations” end.
I personally have been attempting to start a conversation with some of you for
several weeks now via email with little success. With every request for help
(Which by the way, asking people for help, is not an easy “feat” to accomplish)
I have been met with noncompliance. It’s certainly not a wonder why asking
people for help is one of the hardest things that anyone can possibly do, is
it?
And I honestly do not know
what it is with some of you that keep you from responding to me, even when I
email you and you alone, personally with the simplest of requests, have you.
Some of these people have known me since the day I was born. Quite frankly,
starting a small business, of any nature, requires all the “help, luck, and
support” that any entrepreneur out there can get. I feel as though I’m out of
touch with some of you on what I’m trying to do, and that is not a good
feeling. As excited as I am about this opportunity, I make no bones about the possibilities
of the two indeterminate roads that are ahead of me here: A road to success and
a road to failure. I’ve been down both roads, more than once. One road leads to
happiness for everyone that is involved, and one road leads to an emptiness
that cannot possibly be described.
And all of us here have been
down both paths more times than any of us would ever feel comfortable
mentioning. When someone begins to personally remember how many times they’ve
been down the right one, and forget how many times they’ve been down the wrong
one, simply because that number of times is undetermined, life can become
rather gloomy, and “gloomy” is not a pretty word. What I’m looking for, are two
things, and I could personally care less about anything else any of you would
like to offer me:

Positivity
2.
Critical thinking
Not a big list, is it? I’m
not interested in the accusations, or the warnings, or the insults, or the SPAM
mail or the ridiculous email forwards, or anything else for that matter. I’m
interested in nothing more than placing myself and others into a position by
which we will be capable of helping all of you who are interested in receiving
the help that we will be capable of offering to you. And I’m no psychic either.
What I mean by that is, I have no way of feasibly envisioning whatever it is
you are most interested in, if you do not tell me.
Most of this goes to some of
you more than others and thus, that’s the reason I chose to turn it into a Web page
rather than an email message. I wanted to make it more concrete, and those of
you I am addressing, will actually take what I am saying more seriously,
knowing that it will be on this webpage for as long as it takes some of you to
actually take the time, and read. I’m guessing some of you don’t even read a
lot of what I send to you, you just click your delete buttons, and/or maybe
even your SPAM and/or JUNKMAIL buttons. Maybe this is true and maybe not, the
truth is, I don’t really care. I’m not forcing anything upon any one of you.
Let me tell you all something
about myself I’m pretty sure you already know, just to give you a better
understanding of where I am coming from. When I say I’m going to do something
that usually means I’m going to do it. I say “usually” because at a certain
point in my life I once said I was going to go back to school for my master’s
degree, and decided against that idea, for the time being. That’s probably the
only major decision I’ve ever committed to in my life that I actually didn’t
follow through with. As for all the “little” things, I always have done them,
and always will, without question. If you know me, then you know this of me. I
DO have integrity, and I’ve earned every ounce of integrity I have gained
throughout my years of existence on this planet.
So, what that means is, if I
say I’m going to do something as simple as respond to a person I care about
with my address so that we can schedule a bible study together, which I’ve
requested of this person for instance, then I do it. Or, if I took pictures of
a person’s nephew at their birthday party, and said I’d email those pictures to
that person, I’d do that as well. And I’d do both of these things, right away
also. I wouldn’t wait around, hoping that either of these people simply forgot
what was requested of me, and just NOT do it. I’d “just do it” like Nike, plain
and simple. I wouldn’t wait an entire week to NOT get back with emailing that
person my address, and certainly wouldn’t wait an entire month or longer to NOT
email that person the pictures of their nephew’s birthday party. That’s NOT me!
Now, that’s enough of what
“I” wouldn’t “not” do. I’d email the pics to one person, and email the address
to the other person, and all within the same 2 minutes of time that it would
take to do both of these things. Sound’s rather “silly” when you think about
it, doesn’t it? So then, why do people “not” “not” do these things then? That
is the question of all questions, isn’t it? Forget about why we’re all here,
and whether there is in fact life after death, let’s get more specific, shall
we? Why are we here, doing things and not doing things that are hurtful to each
other? That is the real question, isn’t it? I’m especially referring to all
those little things that take no time whatsoever to either “not” do or simply
do “do.”
And don’t say this is
rambling, or this is off subject, because it is not. It all always boils down
to “one” thing with me. That one thing is the “BIG” picture that is my life.
This isn’t just a business I’m going to be starting here, it’s my life, and so
if you don’t like it, you don’t like me too much, and do you? Of course you do!
I’m a nice guy! I want to save all of you a lot of money, for years and years
to come. This isn’t just a fly by the seat of your pants deal here, I’m taking
every precaution that is completely necessary to take in order to make this as
successful as it both can and should become.
There isn’t much guess work
involved here. I know for a fact all of you shop, that isn’t the question that
I am asking you here. That’s not what I’m now demanding of you either. What I’m
requesting, for what I feel the hundredth time now, is plain and simple, what
are you in fact buying at the super big K-mart and Meijer and Wal-mart and
Shopping Mall that you ALL shop at EVERY weekend besides food? Case closed.
More specifically, WHAT DO YOU LIKE?!?!?!? I know you all like money as well,
and especially all the things that can be purchased with that hard-earned coin.
That is not what I’m asking you either!

Barbie, Hollie, Duran, Nadine, Mark, Rick, Mom, Ned, Caleb, Josh, Kasia, Julia,
Arnie, Kahm, Jason, Pam, Rob, Liza, Moe, Tink, Tony, Susan, Jennifer, what do
you like? That wasn’t so bad, now was it? Better yet, do you like saving money?
I know you like money, but do you like to spend a lot of it for the same
purchase or less than what you’d normally spend making that very same purchase?
Do you like saving time? Do you like saving Gas? Do you like saving all of our
American Jobs? Do you like saving the “environment?” What do
you like? Why do I want to know? Because that’s all I care about, that’s why!
Also, do you have other
friends and/or family that are interested in saving money and making their
hard-earned dollars stretch further than they ever could before? If so, can you
please let them all know about what I’m attempting to accomplish? If you don’t
wish to partake in telling everyone you know about this, then why not? These are the kinds of things I need to know. My success is in many ways dependant on all of you.
And if you don’t like what I’m about to do, or don’t like me, I need to know
that, as soon as possible, okay?
And please notice I’m not
singling any of you out. I’m not saying whose doing or who isn’t doing what
here. I’m merely demonstrating to you, what I know and what I don’t know, and
the fact that my first and last name does not start with an “S” and end with an
“N” as in Sylvia Brown. Even my brother n’ law sees the potential for what I’m
about to do and some of you may know him. He’s a construction worker with less
than a perfect sense for business and what’s necessary to run, and operate one
successfully, and he knows this, because we’ve talked about it on several
occasions.
However, he has enough business
sense to recognize the difference between taking a risk and not taking a risk.
When I say there’s no risk here, then gosh darnet-all, I mean there’s no risk! Accept for that of the risk I’m
going to take that is. In one last attempt to get those of you who have any
kind of business foresight whatsoever to become a partner in this business, I’m
going to do something for all of you that I’ve just expressed to a long time
friend of mine I’d be willing to do for him because I wouldn’t feel right about
not offering all of you the same option. And please... You can tell me you
don’t like my tie, but don’t even bother telling me there is no way on this
green earth you can come up with $112 at Christmas time, gee whiz!
Here’s the deal. And the
contract has been changed to reflect this rather significant variation I’m
about to make. I’ve got a neighbor across the street from my father who said
he’s going to wait until the new year to do this, and I’m really hoping he
doesn’t get that chance, because I know all of you better than him. But if I
don’t find all 8 of my partners before 3 business days after having sent it
out, I’m going to walk across the street and make him the same exact offer I’m
about to make all of you. You can send me a check in the amount of $112 along
with two signed copies of the contract, which is more-so obligatory of me than
it is of you, to this address which will be changed in no longer than a week
and 1/2:

sign your copy of the contract and mail it back to you, with the following
clause included into it:
“If you want to back out
and/or wish to renege on this agreement at any time, just tell me,(Brion J.
Younk) and I will gladly refund to you the difference of your initial $112
investment minus any profits and/or savings you have made through the
purchasing of products from The “BIG” Picture immediately there afterwards.”
There! Are you happy now? NO RISK,
okay, NO RISK! Why buy a bed going for $600 retail for $500 saving $100 when as
a partner you can buy it for $300 saving $300-$112 = $188? That’s $88 more in
savings than that of a customer. Why buy a digital camera that is going for
upwards of $900 retail for $800 saving $100 when as a partner you can buy it
for $500 saving $400-$112 = $288? That’s $188 more in savings than that of a
customer. THERE IS NO REASON!!!!
If your new year’s resolution
is to get your own house, then you are going to need to buy a bed, and all the
fixings; the furniture and everything else that come with buying a house. Being
able to sell anything under the sun to everyone else you know at a profit on
top of being able to get all of these things at cost, helps.
If your new year’s resolution
is to create your own website where all of your most important pictures will be
taken, because you are a photographer, and you know you need certain equipment
in order to do all of this correctly, you’re going to need the proper equipment,
not just a digital camera that’s going to cost you upwards of $900 retail. And
once again, being able to offer all these savings to everyone YOU know at a
profit is also very convenient and helpful.
I’d be more than happy to
claim all of you as my personal customers, making 100% of the profit in the
short-run, on everything you purchase from me. I’d be even happier to have at
least 7 of you as partners, making 5% of the profits on everything you sell to
everyone you know, in the long-run. This is not a question of who is right and
who is wrong. This is a question of common sense, who has it, and who doesn’t
have it. We all buy things and we will all continue buying things, until the
day we die. There’s no getting around it. It’s the way it is, so if you haven’t
already done so, then learn to live with it.
As far as who of you is and
is not capable of doing this, YOU ALL ARE!!!! I wouldn’t be talking to you if
you weren’t. Think back to an older period of time. A period of time, when we
were all either “hunters” or we were “gatherers.” What did we do during this
one important facet of time? We traded things. Or, we turned the most precious
of metals available to us into money. And we all did this, for a long, long,
time. All of us! Not only that but none of you wouldn’t have been included in
this all encompassing way of doing business. Not unless of course you didn’t
like the idea of “survival.”
We’re coming to a time in our
lives when the process by which we gain things out of life, not just
spiritually, but physically speaking, (Job-wise) we are ALL going to have to
look towards other more time and energy efficient avenues for us all to take in
order to get not only what we want, but also what we need, in order to survive. The reason for this is because the
technological tools that make this capable and probable are forcing us to do
so, and have been forcing us to do so for about the last 30 years or so.
No matter whom you are or
what you do for a living, there is simply NO such thing as Job Security anymore.
Not just that, but Social Security is going out the window, as well. We’re no
stranger to what this world is coming to, and it’s coming to it in a big hurry.
For some of us, (I included) it’s simply gotten here, sooner than it has and
will for some others. The world that is recreating itself into nothing more
than “hunters” and “gatherers” has not only begun, but is also continuing to
both transform itself and grow, until it has included as many of us as is
possible. It’s not going to stop. It’s going to keep “going, and going, and
going.” And so will all these “jobs” that most of us seem to like.
We all need to look at what
we all can do to help contribute to the efficiencies that are important to
include into our every day lives. Efficiency for that matter is a big,
important all inclusive word. Efficiency is inevitable. You can call it nothing
more than a “different” kind of communism or even “Marxism” if you like, but
that does not change anything regarding that path that we are all inevitably heading
towards. Doctors, Lawyers, Scientists, Entertainment Professionals and the
like, will be the only categories left, regarding the definition of a “job” by
the time these changes have inevitably taken place.

The list of these signs goes on
and on and on and on, but all boils down to an income structure that looks a
hell of a lot more like A Dunce Hat
rather than an actual “bell” curve and has looked this way since the closing of
1999!
Not a pretty picture is it?
It’s as if someone (We can call him Bush) took the container holding all of our
wealth, and turned that container upside down! Well, I say it’s time to fight
back. They say we’re stupid! They say we’re ignorant and we don’t understand
what is going on in this country. They say we are powerless and that there is
nothing we can do. They say a lot of things, and what are all of us doing about
it: Nothing! Absolutely nothing! Other than going back to work, and enjoying
another frustrating day of getting fucked over by the man! Well, after over 13
years of doing just that (Taking it up the ass) I’ve had enough!!!!
The tools are there, and I’M
GOING TO UTILIZE THEM!!!! And I’m asking for your help. However, I’m not literally
going to purchase a shit-mobile and drive over to all of your houses to ask for
it either. They say “Patience is a Virtue.” They say, “Be kind, because
kindness is an uncommon quality to possess, especially in this day and age.”
Well, I am, and have been for a very long time. All I’m looking for is to be
recognized for it by others. Particularly those I care about most. I’m not
looking to be famous. I’m not looking to be rich. I’m not looking for anything
in any kind of materialistic fashion that has yet to be. I’m looking for two
things: Help, and recognition. And I’m asking for it as well.
Whatever some of you choose
to do with this, and however some of you choose to take it, will most likely
not hurt my feelings, because my feelings are no longer capable of becoming
hurt. All I do anymore is add 2+2. I react the way I feel like reacting at any
particular moment in time and I do what I feel like doing. I’m not a “loose
cannon” and I’m not a “loudmouth” on a “soapbox.” I’m an American, and so, I
have American values. Though I’m no longer capable of being hurt mentally
speaking, I often react to things in exactly the same fashion that most people
seem fit to react to it. So if I’m in anyway wrong for how I react sometimes,
I’m no more wrong than anyone else, most of the time.
I’m in no way, shape, or form
“perfect,” and thus I have recognized this undisputable fact on several
occasions and have been doing so, for several years now. In conclusion, I’m
giving all of you an invitation: To enjoy life while we are all still capable
of enjoying it; to carpe diem or “seize the day” like you have no other; to
give whenever you have a chance to give and gain however or whenever or
whatever you have to gain out of life; and finally, to love ALL people and
understand everyone for their uniqueness as well as the things that make them
different from everyone you know, or don’t.
I wish and pray all of these
things for all of you. To become enlightened, and to stand under the lamp of
enlightenment, until you feel the warmth of that all powerful sun coursing
through your veins with every beat of your one true heart of hearts, and become
at peace with yourself and everything that surrounds you...
