Message from My Refuge: April 7th

Greetings from My Refuge.

We do greet you in the Wonderful Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, hoping all is well with you and your family. The new year have started a busy one for us as we continue to reach out to our nation Belize thru Christian Radio, Marriage Counciling, Prison Ministry and hosting of Short Term Mission Groups. Since last September we have launch out our other Radio station which is 100.5FM in the City of Belize. For couple years now this station have been down due to a couple circumstances. Early last year we have been praying for a property in Belize City in order to put the next Radio Station. God have tremendously came thru for us and provided a property for his work to continue and now we are broadcasting 24 seven. It's amazing how the Lord have stretch out his hands and provided for us once again. We had no money to purchase a property but we know that God wanted this Radio Station back running, so we keep on praying and looking for a property and he allow a brother in Christ to donate a property in Belize City to be used for his glory and now we are running the station from a truck box "the one we used when we had just got stated with 93.7fm" We don't have a Studio building as yet but we know that our God is faithful and he will provide for a Studio building to be built this year. Please pray with us as we continue to trust our Father for this to happen. We know that the Radio Ministry have been reaching out to many people and that lives are been change as we continue to Minister thru Christian Music,quality teaching, & counseling.

Marriage Ministry:
Last year have been a great one in the marriage meetings and monthly get together. We have seeing many marriages step up to a new level. Our support group have really made a difference in our marriage life and other married couples. We have couple's that have never spend a night out ever since they have been married and now they have seen the importance of taking time out for there marriage. This year we are focusing on having more support groups "small group" in each district of our country. Also having more marriage Seminar as we know that the moment is now to reach out to marriages as we can see that our enemy have been attacking a lot of marriages in Belize.

Short Term Mission Teams:
Last year have been a great one. We want to take this opportunity to say a big Thank You to each team member who have sacrifice of there time to come to serve in Belize as they had join us in the building of God's Kingdom in Belize. You have been a tremendous blessing and encouragement to us here at My Refuge. This year we have 6 teams schedule to join us. We are looking forward to labor together as we reach out to the nation of Belize thru Evangelism & Community work. Thanks for choosing Belize.

Smiths Family Richard & Rosa will be celebrating 10 years of Marriage on the 9th April 2004. Shamah is now 7 years old and love to be in the Kitchen with Mom. She loves to cook. Caleb is now 5 years old and loving the Lord. He love music and likes to be on the computer. Last year we start homeschooling. It's been going good. It's challenging at times but we keep going. Please pray for God's continue grace to cover us as we continue to Homeschool our children. Richard now have a new hat which was elected as chairman of our village [Roaring Creek] He felt God wanted the Christian to contest .He had a crew of 5 Christian and was victorious with 3 out of 5. Please keep him in your prayers. We want to take this opportunity to thank you as our supporters for standing with us thru prayers, finances and encouragement that you have been to us. Thanks for partnering with us here in Belize. We want to say that definatly My Refuge Ministries is making and impact on the nation of Belize. 1. God's continue direction and covering as we reach out in these different areas. Christian Radio, Marriage Counseling and monthly meetings,Prison Ministry and as we work with our short term mission teams and leadership of our village.

Message From Richard: Monday March 29th
Hey prayer Warriors,

Greetings from My Refuge.

We are living in a village of 2,400 people and every two years was village election to elect a crew of seven. The past history was hard to get seven for office. Yesterday 28th March we went to the poll to vote our seven and had 6 chairman and 17 councilor. While at church in worship I heard clearly the Lord spoke to me that this is the time to raise up a chosen generation who will stand up and fight for his cause in this village. Many time we have been praying and asking God to do something and God is saying I am sending you, Go do it. In this campaign many negative came against us including Christians but I was convince that we were contending for the future of our village. In our villlage there are 24 Ministries. If 5 from each Ministries would standup for righteousness I would have gotten 120 votes, however at the poll I had 91 votes. I came out victorious by 1 vote. This reflect the importants of each Christian individually that 1 vote can make you or break you. The work begin now to fulfill my manifesto of which I can only be successful thru the prayer of the righteous. The word of the Lord thru all of this was pursue God and God will pursue man. Also the example of David and Golliate. I want to say thank you for your prayer and confident in me. Most of all I thank Our almighty Father for calling us as a Ministry for such a time as this. God is Good!!!
