My Refuge Christian Radio: Spreading the good news to the nation

My Refuge Christian Radio, Belize's flagship Christian radio station, began broadcasting on September 18, 1994 from Roaring Creek Village, three miles west of the capital, Belmopan. Today they broadcast 24/7 from Roaring Creek Village and Belize City.

My Refuge Christian Ministries continues a strong commitment to radio. In March 2004, Richard Smith, founder of My Refuge Christian Ministries, became the President of the Belizean Christian Media Association. This association is comprised of nine Christian radio stations.

History of "My Refuge Christian Radio"

September 18, 1994 - First day of broadcasting
February 20, 1995 - Broadcasting extended to 24 hours a day
September, 1995 - Studio building completed
March, 1996 - Increase to 500 watts
September 18, 1998 - Added 93.7FM
April, 1999 - Opening of Supernatural Power 100.5FM in Ladyville
September, 2003 - Relocated 100.5FM to Belize City
