View from the sweet spot.  From left to right featuring:

Polk RTA-11t mains

SVS 20-39CS Sub!!

Toshiba TN50X81

Polk CS-400i Center

Everything is powered by two dedicated 20A circuits.  A PS Audio Ultimate Outlet 15 amp High Current  filters the analog equipment  into an Ernie's Pobox  4 cryo'd outlet box.  A Vans Evers Clean Line Jr. Digital filters the digital equipment into a Tripp-Lite Isobar 6 DSB .

And another.  The mains sit on home-made spike platforms and then on Vibrapods.  Vibrapods are also used under the center, DVD player, Philly Audio  and DAC.  It's a little hard to tell but the mains sit about one foot in front of the TV for better 2 channel imaging!!  (Thx home theater talk!) Current shot now.  Room treatments include black-out blinds, Ideal-Lume 6500 Kelvins lighting and home-made duvetyne masks.  TV tweaks include Duvetyne interior lining, SVM disabling and a restack of the glare screen to the back.

A bigger shot of the whole room with the left and left rear surround.  Everything is Avia'd and of course calibrated using the Rat Shack SPL Meter.

All of the surrounds and the seating.  Featuring:

Polk f/x 500i Side Surrounds

Polk RT25i Rear Surrounds

Current Project: Old Cables & Equipment List: Other Trials

DONE!!! Completed 2/07/03

Working on upgrading the RTA11t speakers to RTA11tl.  Difference is the tweeter (smoother and not as bright in the 11tl) and the crossover.  I'm turning the 11t x-over into an 11tl with the schematics from Polk and higher quality parts from http://www.percyaudio.com .  I'm also upgrading the internal wiring to Cardas and changing out the binding posts to Cardas Patented binding posts.  Tweeters from Polk.

For pics and more info of the speaker upgrade go HERE.

I've been on lists lately, thanks to Audio Circle for in home trials of equipment made by some of the more obscure makers out there!  This is the best way to find out what stuff really sounds like in your own system.

First up was a pair of GR Research Criterion speakers.  Beautifully made, I got on the list because I fear that my Polks may be the weak spot in the system now.  Alas, I did like the Polks better, but the Criterions are excellent speakers.  Truly works of art.

Next up with be Zu Druid Monitors and the Bolder Mensa DIO pack full of Bolder goodies.  I'm looking most forward to the DIO and Bybee purifiers!
