Zippo and Case Announce Change in Summer Event in Bradford

Bradford, PA (December 20, 2007) - Greg Booth, president and chief executive officer of Zippo Manufacturing Company and chairman of the board at W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company, has announced the companies will not be hosting their Zippo/Case International Swap Meet in 2008.

However, Case will host an inaugural Case Collectors Appreciation Weekend this summer, "designed to pay tribute to the thousands of enthusiasts who collect Case knives," said Tom Arrowsmith, Case president and chief executive officer.  Many of the same activities normally associated with past Swap Meets are planned for the new two-day Case-themed event.

"As both companies grow, we will continue to redefine and improve events like the Swap Meet to further enhance and encourage the collectibility of Zippo lighters and Case knives around the world," Booth said. "We appreciate the enthusiasm and support the Zippo and Case collectors have given us in the past and look forward to continuing our relationship with the collector community in the future," said Booth.

Since 1998, Zippo and Case have hosted the biennial Swap Meet on the grounds of the Zippo/Case Visitors Center. More information about the July, 2008 Case Collector Appreciation Weekend in Bradford will be released through the media and case web site as available.
