Our winter trips this year included one to Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in New Mexico, a jaunt to nearby Big Sur, and another California trip - to the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge. Bosque was the most extensive (and the coldest!), but we were able to see and photograph magnificent wildlife and scenery on each one.
