I put everything on the line for her

I try not to bow to the eyes on the back of my neck

To the voices that hush as I enter the room

Because I trust her

But then it all comes crashing down

She tries to explain how it hurt her

How she felt the daggers each time we said

I hate whoever did this

Hating her not knowing it was her

But then it all comes crashing down

She hides from it

Feels sorry for herself

But doesn't realize that we

We had to go through it too

And now we have to hide

And hang our heads

As the whispering passes over us

And we don't know how to treat her or them

Since it all came crashing down.
