For Now

By Kati Frazier

Perhaps because

now I am outside it

and can roll across the foor

and see the pure humor

and irony

of this mess.

I can laugh for now

But I know it will kill me.

I'll lose control

of my tremors

'till they fill of tears

and sorrow

and loss.

Yet I laugh now.

Pretend it will not happen

but still I will see him

kiss her, as he did me

and I will cry

because I am so alone

and my lips, so bare.

I can still laugh for now.

And tell him

I do not care

and live my lie .

Back Home!
