This is another of my pet peeves against the US Government. I have lived my entire life as a Second Class Citizen, and if you are reading this page, you probably have too. You cannot vote, you cannot drink, you cannot gamble, you are not responsible for your actions, and your parents own you. Your savings isn't yours, and your parents can sieze it at any time. You cannot buy property, and those who are under 16 cannot even drive. Well, the driving law is for a good reason, but otherwise, I'm really upset about the fact that my parents own my future. Luckly, I have nice parents, and I can basically do what I want, but still - in the eyes of the law, I am not an American Citizen. And that is wrong. Also, this is a problem that will not be solved easlily. Anyone who cares will be old enough to gain basic rights by the time they get anywhere with the cause, and then simply give up. This is a cause for our generation, and anyone who has anything going, (an oraganzation, a petition), please contact me, I would love to be part of a group that takes on the US government on this one. Basic rights violation has been going on in this country far too long.
