Tangible

By Kati Frazier

You're real.

I must constantly remind myself of that. I didn't invent you. You are not some character, a dream, a figment of my imagination.

I did not invent you, nor could any mortal mind. Who would have comprised so many things, to makes such a graceful bring? No need for 'Prince Charmings'. There is something better. Sleeping Beauty had no such luck as I.

You're real.

I find it so hard to believe, so frightening, so beautiful, esoteric. Somewhere, miles and worlds aways there is a being. A tangible person with a heart, a mind, a soul, a heartbeat.

There are those eyes I cannot see, those hands that have not grasped mine own, and a set of lips I may not kiss. Yet, through all of that, without all of that, I feel him. I feel you.

I am in your arms within that crowded darkenss behind my eyelids. Each time I close my eyes, you hold me. You kiss me. A hand brushes my cheek. And I am reminded, so sweetly.

You are real.
