Waiting 2

By Kati Frazier

As the clock ticks by,

I ache again.

Each moment

a silent dull ache.

The touch long lost

to my mind's memory.

A touch remebered

only by my skin.

The glide of soft

feather fingertips

gliding across my lips.

And each second

another toward the moment

I will have you again

you will not be

torn away

from me again

as in the time

too far away

for my mind to know

seen only

by my eyelids.

Never again the cries

into the night

but only sweet whispers

this time.

Each passing breath

I wait

to hear that voice

again.

I feel the echoes

of words long past

that my mind

cannot remeber.

Echoing vibrations

my ears still feel

of words and breaths

that I miss.

Each night

as the clock passes by

and the time

moves on without me

I ache for the moment

all too far away

that will never end.

Back Home!
