New England is blessed with an abundance of mineral localities. The efforts of a determined and adventurous field collector are frequently rewarded with a surprising variety of beautiful crystallized mineral specimens.  Field collecting is a primary focus of the Nashua Mineral Society.  A large percentage of our members make several field collecting trips each year.  Unless prohibited by snow cover, most weeks will find at least a few of our members out searching for new specimens.  Although the majority of the club’s field collecting is done on personal initiative, the NMS sponsors several club organized field trips each year.     

Many detailed field trip "Data Sheets" are included in the club bulletin each year.  In past years, the Nashua Mineral Society has published two editions of its Field Trip Guide.
