These chronicles of our Dream are arranged by major segments of our voyage. Most early entries are extracted from the deck log, with editing and embellishment for readability. Pictures of various locations are included. Later files are less like the log and more story-like.

Background:
Captain John had dreamed of cruising in the Caribbean Sea for over 30 years when in 2003 he and his wife Lela purchased their 43 foot catamaran and began outfitting it for cruising. For two years they sailed on Puget Sound, venturing as far north as the San Juan Islands during the summer of 2004 on a shakedown cruise. On April 29, 2005, John retired from his job at Hanford to begin final preparations for the long cruise. At long last, on July 3, 2005, Yachtsman’s Dream departed Elliott Bay Marina in Seattle for the first chapter of The Dream.
