GL1200 Ltd. and SEI Repair -- The Ns Sensor Disconnect the ECU coupler and measure between the #6 and the #25 Terminals. Reading should be 297 - 363 Ohms. If your reading is different, then locate the Sensor coupler at the front top of the frame near the steering stem. It is a White 2 pin coupler. (You will probably have to remove the Coils) Measure between the connector terminals towards the Sensor. Again the resistance should be in the 297 - 363 Ohm range. Measure between each terminal to Ground. There should be NO continuity. If it is significantly different, REPLACE the Ns Sensor. Finally measure back from the connector back to the ECU on the YELLOW wire and terminal #6, and on the WHITE wire and the #25 Terminal. There should be continuity on these wires back to the ECU. If there is NOT, Check for a broken wire or bad connection in the wiring harness back to the ECU. Finally, Remove the Timing Belt covers from the front of the engine, and after aligning the rotor projection with the Ns Sensor, set the AIR GAP to 0.4 - 0.9 mm (.016 - .035 in.) Replace the Timing Belt covers. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Table of Contents
