GL1200 Ltd. and SEI Repair -- Component Chart * Main Relay (#4) - To turn power on/off. Controlled by the "KEY SWITCH" and the "KILL SWITCH". Entire CFI/ECU functions are stopped when the supply of power to it are not present. * Fuel Pump Shut Off Sensor (Also called "Tilt Sensor") - Turns the "Main Relay" off when the motorcycle is leaned over beyond/to 60 degrees. * Fuel Pump Relay (#5) - To control fuel pump power. Operate signal comes from the micro computer. * Computer Unit (ECU) - Receives signals from the various units to control Fuel Injection, Ignition Timing, Fuel Pump Operation, Etc. LED's on side indicate problems with system and provide direction for trouble shooting. * Air Temperature Sensor (T1) - To detect intake air temperature and send signals to the microcomputer. * Coolant Temp. Sensor (Tw) - To detect coolant temperature and send signals to the micro computer. * Throttle Sensor (Oth) - To detect operning angle of the throttle and send signals to the micro computer. * Crankshaft Angle Sensor (Ns) - To detect the speed of the crankshaft and send signals to the micro computer. The computer then controls ignition timing and fuel injection volume accurately. * Camshaft Angle Sensors (GL/GR) - To detect the angular position of camshaft and send signals to the micro computer. Computer then determines fuel injection and ignition timing for both cylinders. * Pressure Boost Sensors (PBL/R) - To detect right and left intake pipe pressure and send signals to the micro comp. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Table of Contents
