How to Make a Class Website Stuff for Parents & Teachers

Hello from Miss Sabrina

Merry Christmas Season!

Jesus is so happy with all the gifts you have given him for his birthday! Every loving thing that you have done during Advent is a gift to Jesus.

Miss Angie and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas celebration, and enjoy your break from school.

Class will start back on Monday, January 9th, 2012.

Click on the first sun above to go to review lessons. It is up at the top of this page and looks like this: Remember, you will get a sticker for doing review quizzes, or extra prayer pages! Just have your parents send me an email to let me know or bring a note from them to class.

Special Happenings:

  • The Christmas season began Christmas Day! This year the Christmas Season is from Christams Day until January 8th, 2012.

  • Fun websites during Advent & Christmas

    • NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) is tracking Santa again on Christmas Eve! This site is lots of fun, and has games, a FAQ's section with Virginia's 1897 letter to the NY Sun, how Santa gets down those chimneys, how many cookies he eats, and other things. The whole site is translated into eight languages. Click here to go to the Norad Tracks Santa site.
    • Advent Wreath prayers for families with young children. They also have a wonderful poem about St Nicholas for young children:
    • A Veggie Tale story about Christmas, with "read to me" or "read by myself" options:

Let us welcome our new Pope

Pope Benedict XVI has been the leader of the Catholic Church since 2005!
(The XVI is the part of his name that means he is the sixteenth pope to have that name.)

We can say a prayer for him.

"God bless our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI".

Pope John Paul II was our pope before Pope Benedict XVI.

We can say a prayer for Pope John Paul II in heaven too.

"God bless our Holy Father, Pope John Paul II."

Welcome guests!

Please stay and have a look around! There are lots of things for you --- fun review pages, prayers, songs, and links to Catholic kids websites. You can get to them by clicking on the suns at the top of the page.

Be sure to come in through the front page, so I can count you as a visitor.

Here is the front door. You can get to the front page through here. Set your bookmarks while there, and then come back on in!

Thank you Resources for Catholic Educators for your wonderful review!

Thank you Sr. Teresa Betz, S.N.D. for listing our Catholic Sites For Kids page in your Loyola Press online booklet, Helpful Hints for Working with Christ Our Life.

Thank you Susan Brooks-Young for spotlighting our website in your March 2005 Today's Catholic Teacher Magazine article, Technology Resources for Religion Class!

I would be honored if you choose to print out these pages to use at home or in the classroom. Please don't use them on websites or in publications though! If you would like a copy of our class flyer describing our site, click here.

If you would like to link to us, you may use a text link. Click here for the code to do this.

Thank you Holy Family Parish of Galveston and Bolivar Texas for including us in your web resources page!

Check back --- More good stuff to come! I have changed providers and am taking this opportunity to reorganize the website. Students, parents and teachers will be able access lessons at any time, not just after I have presented them in class as it has been, and other resources as well. I hope to have the change over complete by the end of January.

God bless you,
