                                        Hotel receiveing sniper fire.  Red'd from 716th MP's.

    13     1149     Day     VC CONTACT:  TACC Reported that BINH LOI
                                        BRIDGE had been hit by rockets at 051015H - 
                                        870970.     FROM CMD

    14     1155     Day     VC CONTACT:  From 716th MP's, MP Unit pinned
                                        down PHAN THAN GIAN BRIDGE (8894).  National
                                         Police at SAIGON RIVER BRIDGE receiving heavy
                                        RPG fire (890940).  Change co-ordinates for PHAN
                                        THAN GIAN Bridge from 8894 to 879941.

    15     1220     Day     VC INFO:  Maj. Brown, CMD, VC will be wearing
                                        camofladged uniforms with red arm bands and/or red
                                        name tags.

    16     1240     Day     VC CONTACT:  From 716th, US Forces pinned down
                                        at XS 873927 w/Brig Gen Loan, National Police Chief,
                                        with and wounded.  ARVN sending 2 Battalions,
                                        US Army sending MG and recoiless rifle.

    17     1340     Day     ROCKET ATCK:  Cu Chi received 4 rounds, type
                                        unknown.  No further information at this time.  JDOC
                                        OD notified.

    18     1350     Day     REF ITEM #14:  At PHAN THAN GIAN BRIDGE, 72 VC
                                        KIA (BC).  At SAIGON RIVER BRIDGE, 55 VC KIA
                                        (BC).

    19     1350     Day     REF ITEM #16:  Confirmed that Brig Gen Loan was
                                        wounded and removed from the area.
