DEATH of JAMES TRUESDELL:

"Clinton Republican," St. Johns, Michigan, 23 June 1916:

James K. Truesdell was born in Brandon, Oakland county, Mich., November 28th, 1845. He came to Clinton county in 1871, was united in marriage to Miss Ella Truesdell in January 1872 and has resided near and in Dewitt since that time. He passed away at his home, Wednesday evening, June 14th, 1916, from a complication of diseases. He leaves his wife, four children; two sons, Arthur and Clyde, two daughters, Mrs. Maud VanLiew and Mrs. Frank Rouse, all of Dewitt. One brother and one sister survive him. He belonged to no lodge but was a member of the Clinton County Pioneer Society. His funeral was held at his late home Fridy afternoon. Rev. W.H. Thomspon officiating. Interment in Dewitt cemetery.

The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful.
