George married Mary INSLEE, daughter of John INSLEE and Mary SEELEY, on 3 Nov 1838 in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw Co., Michigan. Mary was born about 1818 in New York. She died 4 Feb 1882 in South Boardman, Kalkaska Co., Michigan.
Marriage Record:
"This certifies that the bans of Matrimony were duly solemnized by the subscriber between Mr. George W. Gardner of the Town of Ann Arbor, County of Washtenaw and State of Michigan, Aged Twenty two years, and Miss Mary Inslee of the Town, County, and State aforesaid aged nineteen years - in presence of John Inslee and Francis B Terry both of Ann Arbor & others. Done in the Town of Ann Arbor on the 3rd day of November AD 1838. A True Copy L.G. Goodell, Clerk, Nath Stacy, Minister of the Gospel."
