She died 14 Aug 1956 in Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan and was buried 17 Aug 1956 in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan.

George B. Pierson, age 88, died Sunday, November 6, 1955, at the residence.   Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 1955, from Colonial Chapel, Reigle Funeral Home, 2417 S. Saginaw St., Rev. D.M. Dickinson and Rev. E. Marsh officiating.   Burial in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery.   Body will be at the funeral home.   He was born in Clinton County, Mich., January 6, 1867.   He married Myrtle Lile February 13, 1897, at Kalkaska, Mich.   He was a member of Lyndon Ave. Free Methodist Church.   Surviving are: wife, Myrtle; 4 sons, Lyle of Richfield Center, Perry of Flint, Raymond of Grand Rapids, Erwin of Flushing; 4 daughters, Mrs. Adrian Hoogerheide of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Elmer Warren, Mrs. George Henry, and Mrs. Alden Heinzelman all of Flint; 36 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren.

Myrtle A. Pierson, age 80, died Tuesday, August 14, 1956, at Hurley Hospital.   Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 17, 1956, from the Colonial Chapel.   Reigle Funeral Home, Rev. D.M. Dickenson officiating.   Burial in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Body will be at the Reigle Funeral Home, 2417 S. Saginaw St.   She was a member of the Lyndon Ave. Free Methodist Church.   Surviving are: 4 daughters, Mrs. Mildred Hoogerheide of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Zora Warren, Mrs. Violet Henry, and Mrs. Norma Heinzelman of Flint; 4 sons, Lyle of Davison, Perry of Flint, Raymond of (unreadable), Erwin of Flushing; 37 grandchildren and 65 great-grandchildren.

About 1924 "Adrian and family then moved to the Hogerheide farm and lived there a few years before moving to Grand Rapids.  No other Hogerheide family occupied that farm. There are no longer any buildings on the property, only a few foundations."

Mr. Adrian Hoogerheide Sr., aged 92 of the Luther Village went to be with his Lord Tuesday, February 16, 1993.   He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, a granddaughter Cindy Glass, two great grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild.   Surviving are his children, Frances and Louis Bilski of Shelbyville, Marie Marlink of Zeeland, George.....Hoogerheide of Byron Center, Gladys......, 50 grandchildren; 117 great grandchildren; 26 great-great grandchildren.   The funeral service will be held 1:00 Friday afternoon at the Lakeside Community Church, 6201 Whitneyville Rd. Marie married Christophe MARLINK. Christophe  was born 29 Jun 1918. He died Dec 1964.

 

DEATH of MARIE:

Marie M. Marlink, 77, of Zeeland, died Thursday evening, Oct. 15, 1998, at an area care center.  She was a member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church.  Her husband Christopher preceded her in death in 1964.  Surviving are her children:.....; 36 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers,....

Services are 11 a.m. Monday at the Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St., with the Revs. Gerrit Veenstra and Wick Hubbers officiating.  Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery.  

 

3.  George M. HOOGERHEIDE (Mildred A. PIERSON) was born 6 May 1923 in Michigan. He died 4 May 2002 and was buried 7 May 2002 in Rest Lawn Memorial Park, Grand Rapids, Kent Co., Michigan.

Perry G. Pierson, age 72, died Sunday, August 11, 1974, at McLaren General Hospital.   Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday at Reigle funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4305 Clio Rd., Rev. J. Donald Freese officiating.   Burial in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery.   Mr. Pierson may be seen at the Funeral Home.   Mr. Pierson was born in Boardman, Michigan, September 3, 1901.   He retired from AC in 1966, after 43 years of service.

Grant Wessell officiating.   Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.   Mrs. Pierson was born in Elba, Michigan, February 14, 1903, and was a member of Grace Methodist Church.   She had been employed by the Durant Hotel until its closing.

 

 

4.  Raymond C. PIERSON (George B.) was born 13 Aug 1903 in Michigan. He died 26 Aug 1983 in Grand Rapids, Kent Co., Michigan.

Raymond married Doris SNYDER about 1924. Doris was born 13 Feb 1905 in Michigan. She died 24 Jul 1986 in Cedar Springs, Kent Co., Michigan.

Mr. Raymond C. Pierson, aged 80, of Grand Rapids, went to be with his Lord, Friday, August 26, 1983. He is survived by his wife, Doris Pierson; his children…., 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Adrian Hoogerheide of Grand Rapids; nieces and nephews.  Mr. Pierson reposes at the  Kuiper Funeral Home, 1311 Chicago Dr. S.W., where services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock.  Interment Rosedale Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Doris Pierson, aged 82, widow of Raymond C. Pierson, went to be with her Lord Thursday, July 24, 1986.  She is survived by her children, ... 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; two sisters,….; two brothers,…; nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Pierson reposes at the Kuiper Funeral Home, 1311 Chicago Dr. S.W., where complete services and committal will be held Monday morning at 11:00, with Rev. James Bugg officiating.  Interment Rosedale Memorial Park Cemetery.  

 

 

5.  Zora M. PIERSON (George B.) was born 20 Nov 1905 in Kalkaska Co., Michigan. She died 23 Sep 1969 in Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan.

Zora married Elmer Ray WARREN, son of Frank WARREN and Maude, on 26 Jan 1924 in South Boardman, Kalkaska Co., Michigan. Elmer was born 25 May 1901 in Baldwin, Lake Co., Michigan. He died 7 Nov 1973 in Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan and was buried in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan.

 

DEATH of ZORA:

Zora M. Warren, age 63, died Tuesday, September 23, 1969, at McLaren General Hospital.   Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Hill Funeral Home, Grand Blanc.   Rev. James Craig, officiating.   Burial in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery.   Mrs. Warren was born in Kalkaska, November 20, 1905. She married Elmer Ray Warren in Flint, January 26, 1923.  

 

DEATH of ELMER R.:

Elmer R. Warren, age 72, died Wednesday, November 7, 1973, at McLaren General Hospital.   Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Rossell Funeral Home, Flushing, Rev. Frank Leineke officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery.   Mr. Warren was born in Baldwin, Michigan, May 25, 1901, the son of Frank and Maude Warren, and he moved to Flint in 1922, then to Clio in 1958.   He married Zora Pierson in South Boardman in 1921; she preceded him in death in 1969; he then married Bernadette Saucier in Flushing, September 14, 1973.   Mr. Warren had been employed by Buick Motor Division of General Motors for 40 years, retiring in 1964.

 

 

6.  Erwin Victor PIERSON (George B.) was born 13 Jan 1908 in South Boardman Twp., Kalkaska Co., Michigan. He died 4 Jun 1982 in Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan and was buried in Flint Memorial Park, Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan.

Erwin married (1)Gladys May COLLICK about 1928. Gladys was born 3 Oct 1908 in Antigo, Langlade Co., Wisconsin. She died 19 Aug 1988 in Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan and was buried in Crestwood Cemetery, Grand Blanc, Genesee Co., Michigan.

 

Erwin also married (2)Mary Helen GARDNER on 15 Mar 1969 in Genesee Co., Michigan. Mary died 7 Oct 1993 (?).

 

DEATH of ERWIN:

Erwin V. Pierson of Flint died June 4, 1982 at the age of 74 years at St. Joseph Hospital in Flint.   He was born Jan. 13, 1908 in South Boardman.   He was retired from Buick Motor Plant 4 in March of 1974.

His parents were Mert and George Pierson (both deceased).

Funeral services were held June 7, 1982 at Hill Funeral Home in Grand Blanc.   Mr. Michael Scholten officiated.   Burial was in Flint Memorial Park.

 

 

7.  Violet M. PIERSON (George B.) was born 6 Jan 1910 in Kalkaska Co., Michigan. She died 2 Jun 1974 in Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan and was buried in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan.

Violet married George O. HENRY Jr. about 1927. George was born 5 Sep or 13 Aug 1901 in Evart, Osceola Co., Michigan. He died 26 Mar 1975 in Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan and was buried in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan.

Friends may call at the Chapel.   Mr. Henry was born in Evart, Michigan, August 13, 1901, and had been a Flint area resident the past 50 years.   He had been employed by General Motors for 42 years retiring from the V-8 Engine Plant in 1956.
