ECRM MEMBERSHIP POLICY

When new members are considered, generally around Imbolc, the procedure is fairly informal and straightforward. There are no specific requirements for membership, no fees, no hoops to jump through, no tests. We do, however, reserve the right to get to know each other a bit before inviting someone into the circle.  We believe that this policy is in the best interests of both the prospective member and the coven.  We are a small, close-knit group, so the acceptance of a new covener has a significant impact on each of us. For this reason, all coveners must have a chance to meet prospective members. And, as with any major choice the coven makes, the decision to accept a new covener must be unanimous. Once accepted, new members join as dedicants, and after a period of study, fellowship, and participation (traditionally a year and a day), they become eligible for initiation. As you can see, it's a lengthy process.

Regardless of whether you choose to pursue membership with ECRM (or any other circle or coven) please continue to feel free to contact us, especially with questions and requests for information and/or guidance regarding your studies and exploration of Paganism.
