The Eclectic Coven of Red Mountain

Stewardship

As Wiccans, we feel a responsibility to promote well being in our
community and in the natural world.

As a part of our coven's stewardship duties, we are proud to participate in
The Nature Conservancy's Adopt-A-Bison program, an initiative designed to
reclaim the lost ecosystem of the prairie while supporting the survival of the bison.

Our bison, Thunderfoot, is pictured in the handsome photograph above. He is
a six-year old bull who weighs close to a ton. He's also an exceptionally
beautiful and majestic creature -- but then, we may be slightly partial.

The process of saving such Buffalo from extinction will in turn help to keep
the prairies alive. The 38,600-acre Tallgrass Prairie Preserve, located in
Osage County, Oklahoma, is a small remnant of a once enormous ecosystem that
covered over 142 million acres of America's heartland - stretching from
Canada to Texas. Osage County is one of the last places with large expanses still remaining.

We are proud to support the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve and the buffalo who roam there.

We are all related.

In our efforts to serve the community within and without, we recognize the vital importance of communication, education and awareness in connecting us to each other and to the world at large. Toward this end, we gladly sponsor The Witches' Voice, and we applaud wholeheartedly their amazing work in this arena.
