Interview with Jasmin St. Claire

Steve: The last time you and I sat down for an interview, it was in March 2002. What career changes have you experienced since that time?

Jasmin: 3PW has become very prominent on the independent circuit and we all know I’m involved in the ownership of 3PW. I got signed to do two mainstream movies next year. One starts filming in February and other starts filming around May. I have my own action figure now and I will be publicly traded early next year on the NASDAQ. I also have my own online casino.

So, for someone who is not in the WWE, I’m doing just fine on my own.

Steve: I’ve watched your federation, 3PW, grow bigger and bigger by the month. You guys have your own merchandise line and seem to get more and more stars to wrestle for you. How did you develop a federation that seems to experience continued success?

Jasmin: Thank you. There is a lot of great talent out there. I think they deserve a chance just like anyone else. I know what it is like to be out there and being told you have talent, but no one wants to give you a chance. 3PW is here to offer that chance to people who are courteous. We tend to build up our younger talent and also bring in bigger names that we feel are good for the company.

Steve: Do you see any young talent out there trying to make a name for themselves who you think could make it big one day?

Jasmin: I don’t like to comment on that. No one has filled my head and I do not want to fill anyone else’s head with constant praise. The good talent knows who they are. The most important thing for them to do is to remain humble in no matter what walk of life they are involved in. When a lot of people start realizing how great they are, it starts affecting them in a negative way. There is a lot of wrestling talent out there who are like that. I tell my talent they do a good job, but I don’t tell them they may be the next big thing.

Steve: You have a big 3PW event coming up on December 27th. What kind of card do you have lined up?

Jasmin:

Steve: Can you expand more on your upcoming movie roles?

Jasmin: One of them is the lead role in a vampire movie. And no, I do not play the vampire. It’s called Ride Into Terror. It’s a really good movie about a pack of 5 girls who are friends. We take a ride out to the West on our motorcycles. Along the way, I meet a love interest. During this time, a Vampire comes along and kills one of our friends and takes another. We then have to set out to find them to see if we can save our other friend, get rid of the vampire, and stay alive in the process. I have to take some sword fighting classes and Tae Kwon Do for the role.

The other movie is called Communication Breakdown by Lost Colony Entertainment. Richard O’Sullivan out of North Carolina wrote it. I have a pretty big role in this movie. My character works for a radio station. There is a really creepy DJ on the station that we all want to see fired because he breaks every single rule possible. It’s hard to describe, but the script is great and it will be a must see.

Steve: Since you have other doors opening up in your life, where do you see professional wrestling fitting into your schedule?

Jasmin: If I’ve always made time for professional wrestling before, I’ll make time for it now. Unlike most people, I can actually balance my time. I just hired a new assistant to help me out who is there for me emotionally as well as professionally. My busy schedule takes a lot out of me. I’ve practically starved myself for the past two weeks because there is a big calendar I will be shooting with Heavy Metal magazine. I’m really honored and excited to be a part of it. I grew up reading this magazine.

Steve: What do you consider your biggest accomplishment in your life or career?

Jasmin: It’s really hard to answer that. The WWE wouldn’t give me an opportunity for whatever reason. Yet, they hired a woman who did hardcore pornographic magazine layouts. I think I put in just as much time and effort as anyone else. Here I am getting chances at movies, my online casino, and my own show in Miami, and having the opportunity to make 3PW grow bigger than what it already is now. I like things that are a challenge, and 3PW is a challenge.

Steve: Do you have any goals that you have set in your life that you have yet to accomplish?

Jasmin: I do, but I don’t really share them. That’s just the way I am. There will be a lot of people reading this interview who will have bad energy towards me because I’m focused and successful at what I do. Business is first and foremost and friendships are last. I think more like a businessperson than a friend sometimes. I’ve always been like that and I’ve always had a good work ethic with whatever I do.

Steve: Where do you want to be in 10-15 years?

Jasmin: If I knew that answer, I think I would be buying lotto tickets. (Laughs) I’m happy with what I’m doing now. Maybe I’d like to get another house in Europe. I’d like to grow 3PW and make it something substantial. You are going to see a lot of good things happening with the company starting next year. I’m not going to expand on that for another 3 or 4 months when we do this interview again. You will read all the press releases as the time goes on.

In the meantime, I really like my modeling career. I just like all the unique projects that are coming my way. I started studying with an excellent acting coach in New York City who has given me a lot of courage and strength in what I do. It’s really nice to have people who believe in you. A lot of the people that I’m involved with in wrestling, not everyone, are uneducated people. I keep thinking that they think like you and I, because you are an educated person, but they do not. That’s the only downfall and frustrating part of it sometimes. That’s why I have an assistant to deal with people like that (Laughs). For example, the Ian and Axl Rottens. And you can mention them by name.

Steve: I’d like to play a word association game with you. I say the word and you tell me the first thing that pops into your head.

            Vince McMahon

Jasmin: A very powerful man who has hurt the business by being so good at what he does.

Steve: The Blue Meanie

Jasmin: He wasn’t given a fair shot. He’s a great talent and a great person.

Steve: Ric Flair

Jasmin: Has really great hair. (Laughs)

Steve: Hulk Hogan

Jasmin: I like him. I met him once and he was very pleasant. He’s a legend.

Steve: ECW

Jasmin: One of the best places to work.

Steve: WCW

Jasmin: I don’t know much about it.

Steve: Brock Lesnar

Jasmin: No comment. I don’t really watch is work.

Steve: Paul Heyman

Jasmin: I love Paul. No matter what anyone else says, he gave me a chance and a chance is one of the most important things in life. When you screw everything up in your life, but you are given that chance to make good, it is the best thing. Paul gave me the chance to show what other talents I do have.

Steve: Looking back on your life, is there anything you wish you hadn’t done or done differently or are you pretty satisfied with you life up to this point?

Jasmin: I’m satisfied with it. Had I have chosen things differently I just wouldn’t have gone into hardcore porn. But you know what, you look back at different choices like if I would have gone out with Guy A or Guy B. Had I stayed with Guy B, I wouldn’t have lived half the adventures I did. But, I stayed with Guy A, went through a physically and mentally abusive relationship for 5 years. That led to all the porn stuff, and then I graduated into professional wrestling. I guess the only regret would be the porn stuff and getting into it as deep as I did. But, now I’m out of it and I’m a better person and I’ve done better things with my life. I’m a lot happier person now. You can make a really good living with your clothes on (Laughs).

Steve:  I must say, you seem a lot happier and a lot more focused.

Jasmin: I am. I think the major thing with porn that got me down is that you get associated with these girls who are from the other side of the tracks. I was never from the other side of the tracks. There I was being associated with these nimrods. After a while I was like “Wait a second, this is not me”. Not to say people in wrestling are any better, but at least they are not spreading their legs for money. (Laughs)

Steve: (Laughs) Jasmin, Thank you for your time today. It has been a pleasure talking with you.

Jasmin: Your welcome. Thank you!
