WWE Looking For Feedback

WWE recently decided to get fan feedback on several different topics concerning their current product. Fans were given a questionnaire to fill out when they entered a recent Smackdown taping. I have decided that I would give my answers to this WWE questionnaire and maybe even get feedback from all of you on what your answers may be to these questions. After I receive the answers from all of you, I will post the majority answers in my column next week, so be sure to send me your thoughts.. Below are the questions and my answers to them:

1. Do you enjoy watching established superstars i.e. Rock, Triple H, Austin, Undertaker?

Answer: I do enjoy watching these current Superstars. These guys are the ones who helped wrestling get to where it is today and I hope to continue watching them for many years to come. Even though I dislike the Stone Cold character portrayed by Steve Williams, I feel he is a great Superstar who knows how to get fans behind him. The Rock is one of, if not the, best wrestling entertainer of all time. Triple H is a dedicated athlete to the business and should be respected for that regardless of his backstage politics. The Undertaker is “The Man” and nothing else needs to be said about that. He has done it all and is a proven winner.

2. Do you enjoy watching younger stars i.e. Cena, Matt Hardy, Brock?

Answer: I enjoy watching the younger stars because they are the future of wrestling. It is fun to watch these men develop their talent the way we watched current stars such as Triple H, The Rock, Stone Cold, Angle, Jericho, and many others during their young careers. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the current young stars and the many to follow.

3. Would you rather see different nationalities or races portrayed in the WWE?

Answer: I would not mind seeing different nationalities and races. There are many great wrestlers of all races and nationalities that are capable of great things. Why not give them a shot?

4. Would you like to see new divas?

Answer: Even though I do not mind seeing the beautiful divas grace the ring, I feel we have enough right now. I do not believe wresting needs more divas at the present time. Focus on improving storylines and bringing in new and exciting talent. Once that is accomplished, then focus on more divas.

5. Would you like to see more older superstars i.e. Hogan, Flair, Piper?

Answer: I would LOVE to see older superstars. Seeing guys like Flair, Hogan, and Piper in action help me relive old childhood memories and helps younger fans remember who helped make wrestling what it is today. Keep the older stars coming.

6. Would you rather see more sexual content?

Answer: I would not like to see more sexual content. I have nothing against expressing yourself sexually, but I feel we see enough of that in wrestling as it is. It’s bad enough that my son cannot watch wrestling and enjoy it the way I did as a kid. We certainly do not need more.

7. Would you rather see more in-ring action?

Answer: More in-ring action would be great. Take things back to the old days when stories were told more inside the ring instead of outside the ring.

8. Would you rather see more back stage drama?

Answer: This question is in conjunction with the previous question. More drama would mean less in-ring action. So, I would have to say I’m against more backstage drama. It is certainly nice to have some drama to help build storylines, but not too much.

9. Would you like to see bigger i.e. Brock Lesnar superstars?

Answer: “Bigger” superstars certainly seem to draw more attention. People who know about wrestling but never really watch it always seem to identify wrestlers as huge, barbaric looking men. Watching guys like Lesnar who are huge display their athletic and mobile abilities are always impressive. Keep a nice blend of huge physical specimens and smaller more athletic wrestlers.

I’m anxious to hear what all of you have to say about these questions. Feel free to email me at Chairshots2head@yahoo.com. If you want the WWE to hear your answers to your questions, try emailing them at FanServices@wwecorp.com. Flood their inbox and let them know you just wanted to send a “Chair Shot” of your own.

I will be back soon with another column. As always, thank you for reading and take care of yourselves.
