The XWF is
a chance to have variety |
Recent reports indicate
the XWF has cancelled part of their tour. Rumors say the XWF is in a downward
spiral. Whether those rumors are true is another issue. Has Vince created a
monopoly so strong, it cannot be challenged? Some reports say Vince has double
booked house shows in an effort to hurt the ticket sales of XWF events. That may
or may not be the case, but it is obvious ticket sales are down drastically for
the XWF. The XWF prides itself on giving the fans non-stop action from the
opening match to the main event match. They want the fans to get their monies
worth and leave the events fully satisfied. If the XWF has these goals and
objectives in mind, why wouldn’t a wrestling fan be interested?
Wrestling fans are screaming for variety. They yearn for another federation to
come along so they can make comparisons against the WWF and debate on who has
the best wrestlers. Wrestling fans, here is your chance. The XWF can be the next
big thing in professional wrestling. They can be the variety you are looking for
and be bigger than anyone ever expected. Can the XWF regain steam and become a
popular federation with the fans?
In order for the XWF to be competitive, they must have star power. So far, the
XWF possesses stars that are well known and wrestlers who are young to the
business. These young stars have the look and the skill to make a tremendous
impact on the wrestling world.
Some of the well-known stars you
may see in the XWF are: Rowdy Roddy Piper, Rena Mero, Jimmy “The Mouth of the
South” Hart, Marc Mero (Johnny B. Badd), Terry Funk, Jimmy “Superfly”
Snuka, Konnan, The Road Warriors, Buff Bagwell, Vampiro, Greg “The Hammer”
Valentine, and Hacksaw Jim Duggan.
These Superstars are veterans to the business and can help the XWF get off the
ground very quickly. The XWF also features stars that are young and talented.
Some of you may be familiar with The Wall when he was affiliated with WCW. Those
of you who are not familiar with this man, you need to be. The Wall is a massive
man who can destroy his opponent in the blink of an eye. He not only has talent,
but he also possesses a very intimidating look that could take him far.
Another XWF star that can wreak havoc is Hail. This man could battle any big
man in the WWF with ease. He is equipped with power, size, and the ring skills
that could take him to great heights in the business.
Not only does the XWF have size and power, but it also has a tremendous amount
of technical, hardcore, and cruiserweight wrestlers.
Josh Matthews, better known for his role on the first Tough Enough series, is a
tremendous wrestler when you consider how long he has been associated with the
business. Some wrestling fans say he was a better wrestler than Maven and should
have won the first Tough Enough. He would be a major threat in any cruiserweight
division. Kid Kash is another cruiserweight with tremendous skills. The former
ECW star can mix it up with any cruiserweight in the WWF and give the fans
entertaining matches each time he steps in the ring.
Big Vito can get hardcore with any wrestler in the business. He proved that in
WCW where he held the hardcore title on more than one occasion.
Simon Diamond, Drezden, The British Storm, and Vapor are other names in the XWF
that are on the rise. These guys can entertain a crowd every time they step
through the curtains. Give these guys more time and their stock may rise even
further in the world of wrestling.
Most wrestling fans have not had a chance to see the XWF in action because they
do not have a television deal. The XWF is very hopeful in their quest to display
their product for the world to see during the fall of this year. Once a TV deal
is established, look for them to develop storylines and put together very
entertaining PPV events.
The XWF consider themselves different because they want to bring “Pro
Wrestling” back to the wrestling fans as an alternative to “Sports
Entertainment”. Once the XWF can get off the ground and gain the fan’s
interest, the roster will slowly begin to grow with more superstars and the
shows will continue to develop as well. Some
of you may ask yourself if the XWF is worth your time. The only way you can know
for sure is if you see what they have to offer. Long ago, the WWF was in the
same position the XWF is now. It took a lot of effort on the part of Vince
McMahon to get the WWF where it is today, but Vince’s outstanding business
skills and marketing ideas would not have worked without the support of the
fans. Does the XWF have what it takes to entertain you? You may be surprised.
