Part One
This chart represents only a portion of a full family ancestry tree. First, it stops with the children of William and Elizabeth because it is intended only to portray that part of the family outlined in Part One. It also does not pursue lines of the family back as far as might have been done in all cases. Among the lines that definitely can be followed further back, but which lie outside the present scope of this project of those of the Parke, Byrd, Horsmanden, and Bassett families. Others offering hopeful prospects for further tracing include the Littlepages and possibly the Wilkinsons, and it is possible that the impasse currently halting the trace on the Chamberlayne and Pye lines in England will eventually be surmounted, perhaps with the help of DNA analysis.
