Where does all your money go, you ask?
Although I'm not as active as Betelguese is, and certainly not as crazed as Wattsburg Gary I have become a Georger. Actually, the first time I entered a WG bill was back in 1999 when my dad first sent me three dollar bills, but that was to an old email and and old acct and I have no idea how to find out the exact date.
So I became an official Georger on May 21, 2004. Since then, I have met my friend Betelguese who coincidentally is the third highest ranked Georger in Georgia! I'm only 121 in Georgia. I don't have nearly the patience or time that Betelguese finds. :-)
Because of him and his "Lucky Bunny Bills", I've become a little more active in my stamping. :-) I have my own stamp (which I got for free on line), and I stamp and list my bills when I have some free time, or if I'm going to be using a lot of bills (for instance, the last poker party we had...I stamped 50 $1 bills to give as change).
This has been fun, and it's great when I get an email notifying me that someone has "hit" one of my bills. Great hobby, using money you'd be spending anyway. I'll be taking some with me to Mississippi this weekend (Marla won a free trip, hotel/food, so I'm going with her).
No, it's not illegal to stamp bills. Yes, people ask all the time.
Check out the links and I'll bet you pay more attention to the money you get if you see them marked. :-)

I laughed at my friend Robin recently, when she confessed that she had 5 different email addresses. But then I started counting mine and had to laugh at myself.
I realized I have too many!!
I have one @bellsouth, five @yahoo (although I share one of those with PEM), four @gmail (again, one of those is shared), one @hotmail. I have to admit, Gmail is my favorite of all of them. The format took a bit to get used to, but I like that the chat/im doesn't have to be downloaded, so I can use it all the time, even at work. Glad it was suggested to me. Looks like Blogger likes Gmail too. Word is all of Blogger will be Gmail soon. I won't have to fight to find "my name" since I already have one. Ok, three. Sheesh. Picky picky.
Eleven email addresses. Good lord.
Is there a twelve step program for this problem?????

Joshua Caleb
Yesterday was one of those days that was both happy and sad for me.
I'm sad because I couldn't be there. But really, that's the only sad part.
Jackie and David had a HEALTHY baby boy at 10:15am on February 13. He weighed 7lbs 10 oz and had a head full of hair.
Babies are miracles, but Joshua is a special miracle. Joshua has a sister he will never meet, but I'm sure will always "know". He outweighed her at birth by 6lbs 9oz. Yes, Sarah, his sister is watching down on him and am certain she will be sure to have him in safe keeping.
I spoke with Jackie this morning. She sounded so happy. I wish I could have been there. I was there for Sarah and was on constant edge wondering if I'd ever see Jackie again, because her life was fragile at that point too. But now, mother and son are both doing well and are bonding every moment.
I don't pray, but am sending special warm good happy thoughts and wishes to them today and always.
Thank goodness for miracles or fate or good fortune or just "another day". However you look at it, I'm glad things are finally going the way they are supposed to for Jackie and David.

Sarah Noelle
Four years ago today a very special little girl came into this world earlier than she should have. We're guessing that she was a feisty little thing and was ready to meet her family.
Because she was 4 months premature, she and her mommy almost died during delivery. Jackie had pre-eclampsia. I read up on this as much as I could and still have trouble understanding why this would happen.
I was lucky enough to be one of the very first people to see little 1 lb, 1 oz Sarah. She was so tiny and red in her little incubator. The next day less than 24 hours later, I was actually able to go into NICU and see her up close. She stuck her tongue out at me, so it's obvious she was just like her mother!
I had to go home, I lived six hours away, two states away and it hurt me to have to leave my friend and my new "niece" and their families. I knew, however, that she would be in great hands.
In August I went back down and Sarah had put on some weight, but was still in NICU. Still on machines to help her breathe. Of course, I talked to her and said I was her Auntie Lisa and of course...she stuck her tongue out at me. Her mother, Jackie, just thought this was the funniest thing she would ever experience.
I was also lucky enough to be there when Sarah got to put on her first little pjs AND she was held by her mommy and daddy for the very first time. I took TONS of pictures. Jackie took one of me, over little Sarah, with my hand on her back...the span of my hand was just a little shorter than the length of her body.
November came around and I had a phone message that Sarah would be home for Thanksgiving. She was off the vent and getting stronger. Sadly, that didn't happen. She was put back on the vent and other machinery.
My heart dropped when I got a call in January that little Sarah Noelle died. She was with her daddy when she died and her little body just couldn't take it anymore.
Steve (David's brother) and I, who just over a year before were in that same church as Best Man and Matron of Honor for this wonderful couple were now given the task of being pallbearers and burying their most beautiful daughter.
Sadly, Dave and Jackie weren't the only parents who lost a child that year. The month earlier my friend Gina's son died after battling to heal after a car accident that he was in several months before. He was a teenager. A few years before that Nina died. She was in her 20s. I thought she'd be the youngest person I'd ever know to die. Then Chris. Then Sarah.
Each family reacted differently to the death of their respective children. Jackie now works at her church. She is a teacher to the 2 year olds. THEY love her almost as much as she loves them. The sweetest part is they all know Sarah. Sure, none of them ever met her, but Jackie keeps her memory alive. This Sunday there will be flowers on the altar at their church in memory of Sarah Noelle. I'm sure Sarah will be smiling down on all of them.
I tell everyone that although this story of Sarah is a sad one, she taught many people, including me, the true meaning of unconditional love.
I have her picture close to me. She was not my child, but she watches over me every day. My sweet Sarah. My guardian angel.

Friday Frou Frou
Turn Around
Page turner
1. What is the best page turner you have read lately? Sadly, it's been a while since I've sat down to read a book. I miss it. I guess the last one was by Janet Evanovich, Twelve Sharp.
2. What page turner would you make into a movie if you could? The entire Evanovich Plum series. It would make a great TV show, too!!!
It's your turn
1. When it's your turn to choose a restaurant (not dinner at home) where do you choose and why? Antigua for Mexican. Cardamuro for Italian.
2. Do you still own a turntable (record player)? When was the last time you used it (or used one in the past)? Definitely. PEM and I both have one. His is set up and we listened to a record, just a couple of weeks ago.

We had a really great weekend. Actually, the last few have been really great.
This weekend, Laura and her son Bobby stayed with us. Bobby is Alex's age and they get along great.
They drove up Friday. I made dinner. Yes, me, not PEM. :-)
I made two big pans of baked ziti. Laura, Bobby, Paul, Alex, Me, Tonya (coworker), Ethan (her son - 13), Paul (her boyfriend), Dan and Robin all ate. We had big salad and ziti and bread. Tonya brought a homemade carrot cake and chocolate chip cookies for dessert.
The kids all hung out and even hopped in the hot tub for a bit as the grown ups sat inside and talked. It was so nice to have friends over. Everyone but Laura and Bobby (and of course Alex) left and we stayed up talking and hanging out until it got so late that we all had to go to sleep.
Saturday morning, we got up and made French toast (Laura brought the fixins') and then we headed out, the five of us, to Mayfield Dairy in Braselton. We watched a film and took a free tour of the facilities. Afterward, we each got some Mayfield Ice Cream. :-)
As we were driving back home, Laura asked about Buford Dam. So, we took a drive out there. We drove over the dam, then went to the park and walked around, watching families playing Frisbee, some fishermen, and a lot of folks just hanging out, like us.
It was a gorgeous day out. :-) We convinced Laura and Bobby to stay just one more night. We had Mexican food for dinner, then got Superman Returns on On-Demand.
Early the next morning Laura and Bobby left so they could be home at a decent hour and so they could hang out with Rob, who worked all weekend (which is why he hadn't joined us).
PEM helped a friend move, while Alex and I stayed at home, catching up on things and watching a couple of Nickelodeon shows that she likes. We had lunch and waited for dad to come home. Before she left for home, the three of us watched "The World's Fastest Indian". GREAT movie. We all really enjoyed the story.
She told me she had a great weekend. She loves coming to see us and loves that Bobby comes so she has someone her own age to play with...."Not that I don't like hanging out with you and Dad". :-)

Queen II of Blogger World
Dairy Queen
1. What is your favorite dairy product? I guess I'll have to go with ice cream. Not much of a milk drinker, unless in cereal.
2. If you were the Queen (or King) of something/some where, what would it be? My friends would say (and have said) I am the Queen of Text Messaging. I'd like to challenge anyone to a duel. :-)
Queen Bee
1. Any stories about reactions to bees? No. I'm not allergic to them, but they sure don't feel good!
2. How do you like to enjoy honey--in tea, on biscuits or some other way? :-( I don't like honey. But PEM enjoys it on biscuits.

List the last two…
1. Movies you watched: Fight Club (I made PEM sit through it) and The Magnificent Seven (He made me sit through it).
2. TV shows you saw: The Pro Am Equalizer and Sportscenter, which is weird, because I rarely watch Sportscenter, but it was on while we played Rummikub.
3. Items you purchased: Coffee and Cranberry Juice
4. Beverages you drank: Coffee and Cranberry Juice :-)
5. Internet sites you surfed (before coming here): BCBSGA and Google
