I'm a Senior Technical Staff Member with IBM's Emerging Technology group. I have been involved in the architecture, design, and engineering of distributed systems for most of my 25+ year career in IT and have been actively engaged in open standards development for XML and Web services since 1999.
I currently chair the WS-I Basic Profile Working Group which is responsible for the development of the WS-I Basic Profile. I am also an elected member of the OASIS Technical Advisory Board. Additionally, I am an editor of the WS-Reliable Messaging specification.Prior to joining IBM, I was at Sun Microsystems for 12 1/2 years where I served as chair of the W3C Web Services Architecture WG and as Sun's representative on the W3C XML Protocols WG, the OASIS ebXML Messaging TC, and the OASIS Security Services TC.
