Above: 2004, 2005 and 2006 Best Commercial Entry trophies that we won out of approximately 150-170 entries each year.

In 2008 and 2009 we did not enter the Mint Festival Parade as it is such a huge undertaking, we are hoping to re-enter beginning 2010.

Cindi handmade all of the costumes and most of the props for all of the parades.

2007 Here Comes The Circus - Mint Festival Parade Cindi makes all the costumes by hand for every parade. We have clowns, a magician, monkey vendor, popcorn vendor, tight rope walker, lion tamer and more.

2006 - Wizard of Oz WINNERS of Best Commercial Entry 3rd year in a row Featuring Dorothy, Good Witch, Bad Witch, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Wizard, Mayor of the Munchkin City, Lullaby League, Lollipop Guild, Flying Monkey's, Toto and more.  I have been unable to locate the actual float photos but as I locate photos of the costumes as they were being made I will post them.

2005 - Nursery Rhymes WINNERS of Best Commercial Entry 2nd year in a row  This year was a very challenging year for the float. It took Cindi 60 hours to paint (by hand) the sixty feet of brick designed skirting and over 40 hours in designing and building the gingerbread house, picket fencing and banner. The costumes took over 60 hours to design and sew. The children love choosing who they want to be and have fun trying on the costumes as I make them.

2004 Clowning Around WINNERS of Best Commercial Entry
In August 2004 we were in the St. Johns Mint Festival Parade for the third time.  We decided on a Clown Theme and had lots of fun making costumes and decorating the float. We won Best Commercial Entry! In 2005 we are doing Nursery Rhyme characters.

2003 It's A Small World Mint Festival Parade In August 2003 we were in the St. Johns Mint Festival Parade for the second time. Our theme this year was It's A Small World. Children wore costumes representing countries all over the world. Pictures to be added soon as they can be located

Saluting Our Community Helpers Past Present and Future Mint Festival Parade 2002 In August 2002 we were in the St. Johns Mint Festival Parade for the first time. We only had a few short weeks to prepare.  We decided on a Community Helpers Theme,  the children alled dressed as official community helpers.

Santa Parade 2004 The children asked to be in the parade only four days ahead of time. We called the Chamber to see if it was to late to register and they said no. We quickly got everything together and we were a big hit along the parade route. As we were in line prior to the parade starting, Santa came by and had his picture taken with us. Some of the elves pulled a cart with a lighted Christmas tree, you can see it in the background.
