The Easter Bunny Visits Every Year We love being visited by the Easter Bunny. He brings us all an Easter basket and we can sit on his lap. We love coloring eggs so the Easter Bunny can hide them for us to find.

Thanksgiving Photos We are dressed in the Pilgrim and Indian costumes Cindi made us. The year before we made our own Indian costumes (right) and got to take them home (2nd photo).  For Thanksgiving we make grafts, play games and bake. Sometimes we make an entire Thanksgiving dinner.

Christmas may be different every year.  Some years we celebrate Christmas the way they do in other countries and some years we celebrate the traditional USA way. Below are pictures of the year we celebrated Christmas in the Netherlands. In the Netherlands, St. Nicholas is known as Sinterklaas. Dutch children are told that he arrives from Spain on a steamer on his feast day, December 6.  Sinterklass (left) visits on the  eve of his feast day.  Black Pete (2nd photo) knocks on the door and he throws in handfuls of candy before he quickly dashes away.  Cindi made us all traditional Netherlands costumes to wear. Early in the morning of 6 December, when he has visited everyone, he leaves and goes back silently to Spain, to come back next year.
Above are pictures of Netherlands items and snacks directly from the Netherlands. We each decorated a wooden so Sinterklass could leave treats in them during naptime. When we woke up they were filled with really good sweets. We got to take them home.

Christmas USA Style Cindi made the gingerbread house wall hanging and felt fireplace to make our Christmas in the USA more festive. She also made us all elf costumes. Every year, Santa comes to visit and brings us each a present. If we want we can sit on his lap. We love to pose, can you tell? One year we joined the parade to welcome Santa to St. Johns. The parade has about 20 walking entries each year and at the end of the parade Santa arrives and we can visit him.
