Military Order Stars & Bars

A fraternal organization comprised of
Descendants of the Confederate Government, Officer Corps, and Civil Officials

The Alabama Society of the Military Order of the Stars and Bars

During the War Between the States troops from Alabama were generally called Yellow Hammers.

This name was initially meant as an insult but Alabama Troops took pride in it.
