This project is an independent attempt to create a definitive 3D model of the CMCC.  You will not see copyright information included with the geologic and USGS DEM relief maps assembled for this model.  The author has not, and will not, seek copyright on either of these maps.  Do not misinterpret copyright exclusion as some sense of altruistic generosity.  Although the 2-dimensional geologic maps included in this website are indeed my creations, the data used to make them are derived from geologic publications and relevant graduate theses from the University of Arizona.  This project is intended for educational purposes.  Only the United States Geologic Survey, the friendly people of the Arizona Geologic Survey, and the fine institution the University of Arizona can claim legal right to the data used to create the 2-dimensional geologic overlays. 

NOTE to students:  If you have other sources of info for your paper and are not sure about whether you can use illustrations included in that publication, there should be a disclaimer on the copyright page that will state whether you can use the material for educational purposes without consent of the publisher/author (and, of course, you must site the work in question).  This is usually true for taxpayer-sponsored work.  (anyhow, I doubt your professor will turn you in to the copyright office if you properly site your information)
