q       Defined and expressed the requirements specification used to develop a real-time toolkit for integrated battlefield visualization.  Worked with GDPro to generate use cases and the class diagrams used for implementation.

q       Developed a modular, object-oriented JavaBeans component architecture for the toolkit.  Used Java and Java3D extensively to implement the software.

q       Developed an extensible GUI framework for the toolkit using Java and Swing

q       Researched and implemented algorithms to display multi-gigabyte elevation and terrain imagery datasets in 3D in real-time in Java.

q       Used ASP, VBScript, and client-side JavaScript to develop the mutual fund section of Brown’s online trading site (www.brownco.com).

q       Utilized Visual Interdev and IIS 4.0 for Internet application development and deployment.

q       Worked with COM to handle business logic in Brown’s three-tiered architecture to deliver high performance online trading response times for multiple users.

q       Developed a C++ program to automate daily IPO information updates on the online trading site.

Project Lead, November 1997-April 1999

q       Project Lead for a commercial medical visualization application used as an aid by cardiologists in performing heart laser surgery, running under Windows NT.

q       Coordinated other developers and QA personnel as part of the development process in the company’s start-up environment.

q       Used Visual C++, OOP, and design patterns to prototype and implement the system’s architecture, providing concurrency via multithreading and MFC.

q       Developed a commercial quality GUI with MFC that was functional and easily accessible by doctors to operate the application in an operating room environment.

q       Utilized OpenGL to implement the interactive 3-D visualization portion of the application.

q       Lead developer for 3-D Explorer, a commercial Win95 application using real-time Direct3D graphics to visualize the topography of the US.
