I knit a simple shawl for my daughter for her homecoming dance. It was so pretty and I enjoyed doing it.
Inspired by the first shawl, I joined the shawl of the quarter club at Joslyn's Fiber Farm . Two of the club shawls have been completed so far. This had been fun. I have never worn a shawl before, and that's fun, too. I have a couple more in the planning process and a garter stitch Faroese on the needles. I guess this is the year of the shawl. The pictures aren't the greatest, I'm learning more about the camera, so future colors should be better.
The December Shawl was the Siberian Winter Shawl by Two Old Bags. Knit in Natural.

The March Shawl was the Sheep Shawl by FiberTrends. Knit in the colorway Ocean.
The June Shawl is Butterfly Garden by FiberTrends. The colorway is Dewdrops, but it doesn't look anything like this on the web site.
I've started spinning a cashmere/silk blend and will knit a design of my own once I get it done. I'm thinking of the traditional thistle pattern to go with the color. My friend Linda just gave me a big bag of llama fiber and my guys were sheared recently, so maybe a llama shawl or two are in my future.
